Qube is looking for volunteers to help honour Men on the Gates!
Qube, Oswestry has been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund for an exciting project, 'Men on the Gates' commemorating the centenary of WW1. The project will research and document the lives and stories of the men commemorated on the Oswestry War Memorial Gates. Oswestry's role in WW1 and beyond will be fully researched through the lives of the 'Men on the Gates', to commemorate their sacrifice and ensure their memory is not lost to future generations. The result will be a comprehensive heritage resource documenting Oswestry's role during the conflict through an interactive website, talks and printed publications.

Qube is looking for volunteers to help with the huge task of researching over 300 names listed on the gates. Alternatively, come and have a chat with our Project Researcher at one of our drop-in sessions, every Friday at Qube between 10am and 2pm.
