Napoleon (15)

Friday 5th & Saturday 6th January  7:30pm

Sunday 7th January  2:00pm (subtitled for the Hard Of Hearing)

Napoleon is a spectacle-filled action epic that details the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, played by Oscar®-winner Joaquin Phoenix. Against a stunning backdrop of large-scale filmmaking orchestrated by legendary director Ridley Scott, the film captures Bonaparte's relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine, showcasing his visionary military and political tactics against some of the most dynamic practical battle sequences ever filmed.

"If, at 85, Ridley Scott has reached the final season of his filmmaking career, Napoleon is the ideal work of wintry grandeur to mark it. Scott's 28th feature is a magnificently hewn slab of dad cinema with a chill wind whistling over its battlefields and round its bones: its palette is so cold, even the red in the tricolore is often the shade of dried blood.

Spanning 32 years, from the outbreak of the French Revolution in 1789 to its title character's death on St Helena in 1821, it casts Napoleon Bonaparte's rise, reign and downfall as both a prickly psychodrama and a sweeping military epic, in which the intimate lives of its central players and the fate of France itself become instantly and anxiously entwined." **** The Telegraph

Director: Ridley Scott
Cast: Joaquin Phoenix, Vanessa Kirby, Tahar Rahim, Ludivine Sagnier, Ian McNeice, Ben Miles

Run time: 2 hours 38 mins

Friday 12th & Saturday 13th January 7:00pm

Sunday 14th January  2:00pm (subtitled for the Hard Of Hearing)

Based on the extraordinary character at the center of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, "Wonka" tells the wondrous story of how the world's greatest inventor, magician and chocolate-maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.

"Timothée Chalamet leads a beguiling cast in a backstory that rinses away all sourness from Roald Dahl's embittered chocolatier" ***** Peter Bradshaw - The Guardian

"Wonka is a charming family film that really will appeal to all. The songs are fun, the acting is fun, the plot is fun and the chocolate is what dreams are made of." No More Workhorse

Director: Paul King
Cast: Rowan Atkinson, Mathew Baynton, Jim Carter, Olivia Colman, Sally Hawkins, Matt Lucas, Calah Lane, Paterson Joseph, Keegan-Michael Key, Timothée Chalamet

Run time: 1 hour 56 mins

Gift Vouchers & CEA Cards

To order Gift Vouchers for your cinema loving family & friends please email or call us to place an order.

The CEA Card is a national card scheme developed for UK cinemas by the UK Cinema Association (UKCA).

The Card enables a disabled cinema guest to receive a complimentary ticket for someone to go with them when they visit a participating cinema.

The auditorium is situated on the first floor but sadly due to the building being Grade II listed we have no disabled lift accessibility. There are 20 low rise stairs to the auditorium and wheelchairs/prams can be left downstairs.

Mens, Ladies & a Disabled Wash Room are all located on the ground floor.

We have a loop system and Senheisser Connect system installed and our Sunday matinees have Audio Described subtitles for the Hard Of Hearing.

If you want to discuss your accessibility needs or have a CEA card and require a complimentary ticket for your carer or if you have been given a kinokulture Gift Voucher

The past few months have been busy for us here. We've welcomed new team members, launched more community projects, hosted wholesome events, celebrated our volunteers and so much more. Qube's Newest Team Members!

We've been working on creating a safe and inviting area within our gallery space that people can visit to enjoy a warm, social setting and access a hot drink. We've taken the idea of the warm space further, by providing starter packs to visitors, which offers them the means to create a piece of warmth that they can take home - this could be a hat, mittens, a scarf or the beginning of a blanket. Read more about the project right here.
