Oswestry Film Society keeping film showings going

Dear Blogger

Message forwarded by Ingrid Knowles Oswestry.net

Films to continue in Oswestry....

Change of venue from May

KEEPING FILM SCREENINGS ALIVE; With the lovely Kinokulture cinema seemingly and very sadly closing, the Oswestry Film Society can announce it's found an alternative venue just around the corner, at the Hermon Chapel Arts Centre in Chapel Street.
We have one more showing at Kinokulture, and then will be swapping to the Hermon from the end of the month. Please join us for a final Hurrah at Kinokulture next week (details below), and then support us at the Hermon (more details below) to ensure we can continue live film showings in the centre of Oswestry.

Films, date changes, and the future.....

  • Final OFS film at Kinokulture: the British comedy-drama The More You Ignore Me (15)  - this coming Tuesday Apr 16 - http://www.oswestryfilmsociety.com/buy-tickets
  • The Hermon can't accommodate us on Tuesdays, so OFS film nights will now become the first and third WEDNESDAYS of the month.
  • Wed May 1, 7.30pm: the explosive drama Vantage Point (15)
  • Wed May 15, 7.30pm: the stunning street drama Capernaum (15, sub-titled)
  • The Hermon operates on an unallocated seating system - it has step-free access round the ground floor, but also has balcony seating
  • The Hermon has a fully licensed cafe & bar - you can enjoy a drink with the film
  • The Hermon has been recently refurbished, and seats reupholstered
  • The OFS is also pursuing other venues to try to show more films
  • The OFS is also looking to join forces with a team of World Cinema programmers
  • Check out the OFS website http://oswestryfilmsociety.com

We mustn't let big-screen cinema in Oswestry die.
