Shropshire Council are asking all Parish Councils to have more input into Road Safety improvements.
So our Parish Council has been asked to submit a prioritised list of 5 hazards or road safety issues that need attention.
Of course, there is no guarantee that money will be found to attend to them all (or any, depending on their cost etc) and we should not list hazards on Trunk Roads (like the A5 at Shotatton for example) since they are the responsibility of the Highways Authority rather than Shropshire Council - we are pursuing this via our MP.
We have a vast quantity of information collected via the various surveys and our Parish Plan, so we can offer a list already. But if anyone has other concerns or suggestions then we would love to hear from you so that we can take them into consideration as well.
Our Clerk will start collating all comments received by the end of May, to be considered at our next Parish Council Meeting (10th June) so that we can submit a list by the end June deadline.
This list will be updated with progress or changes in priority so that we can supply data on an on-going basis.
