Whittington Mendelssohn Music Festival

I've just got home after the first of this week's six concerts in the Whittington International Chamber Music Festival hosted by  St John the Baptist Whittington with its "perfect acoustic and unimpeded sightlines".

With fine performances by the Werther Ensemble, the works of Mendelssohn are celebrated this week. 

If you haven't got a ticket for this astonishing event on our doorstep yet, don't wait too long or they will have gone.    (The festival runs from 12th to 17th May)
