TBC: BIC - November Newsletter

Now we are back to darker, shorter days, our thoughts are turning towards Christmas and all the delightful luxuries December brings.

As our valued members, we want to keep you informed, so we've detailed below our seasonal opening times and any special activities we have on the run up to Santa Claus.

During November we have several fabulous plans, we have our Christmas showroom revamp and our seasonal Members Only Evening Launch! Wow what a month, and if that wasn't enough- we also have the launch of the Christmas grotto!

If you would like to join us, during any of the following events, including the members evening- please request passes ( only two adults per member for the exclusive evening ). You can do this by following the link to our website below.

Christmas Launch
Members Only Evening
Saturday 25th November - 18.00pm - 20.00pm

This members only event has very limited capacity. Two passes allowed per person.

The evening is to show case our latest Christmas displays and products and to celebrate the start of our festive season. We will be offering complementary treats to those lucky members attending.

Santa's Grotto

We are very excited for the return of Santa and Mrs Claus in our very special Christmas grotto, open from the last weekend in November to the 23rd December.

If you'd like tickets please follow the link, these will sell out quickly. Please note tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable due to popularity. The elves have finished building the log cabin and are sorting the finishing touches to his wonderland – see our facebook page for some sneaky peaks – we have had to be very sneaky indeed, as you wouldn't believe how precious the elves can be!

King Midas

What's new here at the Centre, well there's a treat in store for anyone arriving during November and December, we have a very special visitor, who turns everything he touches to gold! King Midas, the King that was both blessed and cursed, with his ability to turn everything to gold, finally ended with him losing the most precious gift of all, his only daughter.

What's special about this I hear you ask, well he's made of real money! The motivation behind this statue being launched at this time of year , is the meaning – we believe especially now at Christmas , that society places too greater importance on possessions and self-gratification. The morale of the story, we believe, is that we all need to refocus our priorities on loved ones, these being the true riches that we enjoy and value most.

Whatever next!

We are knee deep in keys, yes that's right, keys! Our Christmas competition is to guess, what we will be making from 10,000 keys!

Link to a page , where they can log there best guess.

Zoosbury Animal Education centre
Sad news.

We've had one of our favourite characters fall seriously ill, David Riley, the creator of Zoosbury, the exotic pet hotel based here at the Centre.

If you'd like to send any messages of support to David and his family at this difficult time, please do and we'll ensure David and his family receive them.

Tin Can Appeal update

We've just passed the 100,000 line, so we've only 900,000 to go.If you're a school or community group and you would like to get involved, please get in touch with Wendy- our fabulous coordinator here at the Centre.

To collect 1 million tin cans from households around the UK was always going to be a difficult feat, but we believe strongly enough in the benefits of recycling these cans, teaching the new generation all about recycling and playing their part in the environment and therefore we will keep on-going until we achieve it!

Just to remind everyone, our objective is to collect and make the biggest bust of HRH Queen Elizabeth ever made.

Here's a snapshot of the tins and the concept drawing for the project.

Priority Pass

Priority Pass is a complimentary facility that allows anyone travelling a long distance, to ensure they have entry on arrival.
On busy day's we will always cap the number of visits being received onto the site. This prebooking system allows for peace of mind before starting your journey.

If successful, you will be sent a confirmation email that you must print off & bring with you.
If we are busy that day, your reply will offer a suggestion for an alternative date.
