Gardening for health

As you know, Roger and I open Brownhill House Garden every year, for the National Gardens Scheme.

This message came through about the benefits of gardening, it might be useful for someone you know.   Gardening gives you no time or opportunity to think about anything except the job in hand so is said to be therapeutic for all sorts of problems.

We are proud that money we raise from opening the garden, goes to such a worthy cause as Macmillan.

We're delighted to announce that we are once again working in partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support to encourage people living with cancer to get and stay active. Spending time outdoors in a garden is not only a great way to relax but by being active through gardening could also help manage and reduce the side effects of cancer treatment.
