Talk by Dr. Helen Whitworth, Medical Herbalist

Dear Blogger

Message from Jackie Jones, Weston Lullingfields

Please find attached the flyer for 'An Evening with Dr Helen Whitworth Medical Herbalist' who will be talking about 'Health & Herbs for Autumn'.  This should be a very interesting and interactive talk.  I understand Helen will bring herbal tinctures for tasting.  She is highly knowledgeable as a medical herbalist as well as a GP (she retires from general practice in August).

Free military band concert at St. Chads, Church Shrewsbury

Dear Blogger

Message from Mark Cuthbert-Brown who has been advised that the Ruyton and District Mailing List would be a good place to publicise this special concert at the lovely St. Chads - our fame is spreading!

The concert advertised here has come about through the loss of this year's Shrewsbury Flower Show - at which

THE BAND OF THE MERCIAN REGIMENT - Friday 8th August

(a unit of what used to be known as the Territorial Army - now "the Army Reserve") was expecting to perform in the culmination of its annual camp.  The Band has come together with St Chad's in Shrewsbury for a concert to be held on Friday 8 August.

There is no entry charge although donations will be accepted …to shared between the Army Benevolent Fund and the Church.

I hope this makes sense but do please ask if you need anything more from me. with best wishes and fingers crossed,

Mark
