The dates for the road closure between Ruyton and Baschurch are DEFINITELY 11th to 22nd Jan (not as Shropshire Star or roadworks.org)
Shropshire Council have agreed to add footpath width restoration to the scope of work to improve access for wheelchairs and pushchairs along the straight.
They have agreed a method of allowing access for emergency vehicles with Brian Welti (Boss of Baschurch Fire Station)
GHA say their buses will use the lanes between Dairi-Pak and Stanwardine - both ways. This could be fun - but they are not that frequent anyway.
Just a reminder of the local diversion route that we normally use - only for cars or smaller - coaches and HGVs won't fit.
And remember that we operate a voluntary "one-way" system - anti-clockwise - so Baschurch to Ruyton via Stanwardine, Ruyton to Baschurch via Little Ness.
Lastly, remember these are tiny lanes - nice and slow to avoid drivers going the other way and to minimise nuisance to the poor people who live along the route. It's only 11 days, and only 9:30 - 3:00pm - so not as big a problem as the Platt Bridge closure a few years ago.

I see from the Shropshire Star that the council will be resurfing part of the A528 Shrewsbury to Ellesmere road ALSO from Monday 11th until January 25th.
The stretch between the turnoff for Colemere to the Junction with the A495 will be closed between 8am and 5pm each day but will reopen at weekends. So says the Shropshire Star.
