Early-bird deal and other newsy stuff Numbered seats selling fast online | | Are you ready for Whittington's 'fantastic' festival? | | | | | Tickets are selling well for May's all-British festival, and the bookable numbered seating is mostly sold on some nights. So get online soon, and don't forget that the early-bird deal on Whole-Festival Passes expires at the end of this month when the price goes up to £80 (still a £10 saving on the full six-concert price). There are other ways of buying tickets, of course, and you can find details on the website. On the website you'll also find an updated list of our artists, and details of a programme change on Saturday 19th May. It costs a lot to stage a world-class festival like ours, so we are holding a benefit concert to raise funds. The excellent 'Scholars and Gentlemen' chamber choir, based at St Oswald's Oswestry, will be presenting Music of the Chapel Royal 1500 to 1700 on Saturday 17th March at 7.30pm in Whittington Church. Tickets at £10 are available from Rowanthorn in Oswestry or from Rosie and Lawrence Mortimer (01691 657986). It promises to be a wonderful evening and you will be supporting the festival by attending. Finally, to get into festival mood, don't miss Kinokulture's screening of '4' on Wednesday 14th March. This award-winning documentary follows the renowned Quatuor Ebène string quartet on their European tour. It offers glorious music as well as behind-the-scenes tensions usually hidden from their admiring audiences. The film's Director, Daniel Kutschinski, will be present to answer questions.
