EXHIBIT YOUR WORK
Whether you paint, throw a pot, sketch or sculpt, and whatever medium you handle, the Gallery is always interested in exhibiting new works, and artists aged 18 and over are eligible to submit their work for consideration. Call for entries is directed at established artists as well as those just starting to attract the attention they deserve. Some exhibitions have themes you are asked to follow; others are entirely open - offering a diverse and stimulating programme throughout the year. You may submit a single piece or a series of artworks; you can also exhibit as part of a group.

Application pack
Please telephone (01691 657575) or email for full application advice and an entry form. All applications must be supported by images of the work/s to be exhibited.

UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS - CALL FOR ENTRIES

For our March/April exhibition we are calling for artworks based upon or inspired by the written word - any literature of your choice from classical to contemporary. We ask artists to submit their applications by Monday 12 February, and artwork needs to be delivered, ready to be exhibited, on Monday 19 February.

SPRING OPEN EXHIBITION 2018
14 April - 26 May
The Gallery is also now accepting submissions for our annual Spring Open Exhibition – open to all subjects and themes. We look forward to celebrating a wealth and cross-section of artistic talent : painting, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography, textiles, sculptured works, ceramics, glass and more. Deadline to apply is Monday 26 March, and you are asked deliver your artwork on Tuesday 3 April.

CURRENT EXHIBITION - NEW YEAR OPEN
Continues until 24 February
We are pleased to enjoy old friends and meet new ones, including up-and-coming talent, with artworks to suit all budgets. See below how acrylics can be used in different ways to create different landscape effects.

JULIE PRICE
Low Cloud over Caer Caradoc, Church Stretton ~ Acrylic
GEORGINA SHEPHERD
Cranberry Rocks, Stiperstones
Acrylic on paper
DES JONES ~ Bright Sun over the Mawddach River ~ Acrylic
We are also delighted to present integrative artist's Wilf Thust's enthralling Tree Structures, exploring their patterns, textures, abstraction and balance of  light against dark.
Wilf takes inspiration from 'plants, landscapes, animals and from encounters with people'. He sees his work as 'not purely abstract but a response to life experiences. With shapes I am interested in cut-outs, offcuts and negatives; with colours I search for and explore nuances; with movements I reflect on changes; and with interaction I encourage the viewer to look closer.'
UPCOMING LIVE MUSIC AT THE WILLOW
On Saturday 24 March we welcome world-renowned French-Swiss singer/songwriter and breathtaking guitarist Claude Bourbon. On Saturday 28 April Simon Kempston, one of Scotland's most gifted songwriters and acoustic guitarists, will be keeping us entertained. On Friday 25 May the Dan Walsh Trio will harness banjo, violin and mandolin to telling effect.

Save Our Bees
- unbleached organic cotton apron -
Fascinated by bees and concerned for their future given the huge pressures they face in the modern environment, botanical and natural history artist Tereska Shepherd has created a series of watercolour paintings depicting many British bee species. Through her artwork, prints, greetings cards and textiles, Tereska aims to raise awareness about the plight of bees - the world's most important pollinating insects - and donates a percentage of every product sold to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust.

Save Our Bees aprons, along with tea towels, placemats, cushions and bags, are on sale at the Willow Gallery Shop. For full range, see
Art by Tereska website.
