We all know there is a lot of concern about the speed of some vehicles driving through the village.
Perhaps you know of drivers who are guilty of this dangerous activity, Why not give them a present this Christmas which they will really appreciate.
You don`t have to be a young man and have a racing car but if you like a challenging drive at high speed, whether you are a mum, a daughter, a dad or a a grandad, this is a great day out and you never know, you might become a regular competitor.
But hurry, hurry, hurry, these 2019 dates will soon fill up.
15th May 17th July 21st August
LOTON PARK DRIVING SCHOOL @ Loton Park SPEED HILL CLIMB
We have a team of highly experienced Motorsport UK licensed instructors to help you learn how to drive this hill correctly in your own car. Our aim is to give you a great day's driving in a safe and very sociable atmosphere, with coffee and toast before we start followed by an excellent buffet lunch plus tea and cake to finish off.
All are welcome. There is no need to be a member of the club. We aim to give you 8 runs during the event with feedback after each run so that you can work on improving your technique as you go. The day is ideal for novice and expert alike; great if you just want to give it a try, or excellent to perfect the finer details to get the best time at your next event.
Your car needs to be road legal, MOT'd if required and above all, quiet enough for the public highway. Dress code is long sleeves and full length trousers or jeans. (a race suit is fine if you have one) We have certified crash helmets to loan so no worries there.
You will not be timed on the hill as the idea is to allow you to learn the correct lines and technique to get the best from yourself and your car. The speed will come naturally as you progress during the day. We video each run and you will receive a copy of the day after the event with all the good (and possibly not so good) bits!
Guests are welcome to come with their driver for a small fee to cover catering expenses and will have their own briefing on the day's agenda in the Paddock area. They can meet up with you in the paddock after every run and can take photos from any of the public viewing areas trackside. Unfortunately, they can't attend the drivers briefing or walk the hill as this is restricted to drivers
The hill is manned by fully trained Marshall's, a Paramedic and full rescue teams to ensure all 30 drivers are training in a safe but exiting environment.
We run 3 events a year and you will find full details and entry form below.
If you have any questions prior to sending an entry please don't hesitate to contact me on 07970 221760.
I look forward to welcoming you to the exacting sport of Speed Hillclimbing. You just might get hooked!
