Subject: Get involved live on Facebook 24th June 2019
Please may I take the time to inform you all of this opportunity for the people within the communities you police to raise any questions/concerns they may in relation to rural crime. This gives them the chance to discuss the issues that are important to them and what would make their community safer. Questions will be submitted to the West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner John Champion, and he will put them direct the Chief Constable.
How will it work?
Communities can get involved, and ask a question, in the following ways:
Send a comment or a private message on Facebook @WestMerciaPCC.
Email to getinvolved@westmercia.pnn.police.uk
Comment during the broadcast.
To keep it fair for everyone to ask a question, the following will apply:
Questions must be focused on rural crime.
Questions in advance must be submitted before 5pm on Sunday 23rd June, and a limited number of questions submitted during the live event will be asked during the broadcast.
Primarily the questions will be asked by the PCC to the Chief Constable, on behalf of the public, although some questions directly for the PCC will be welcomed.
Unless you ask to remain anonymous, your first name will be read out during the broadcast.
Questions will be limited to one per person.
The Office of the PCCÆs privacy statement sets out details as to how they manage date, and is published on their website.
Further information can be obtained by emailing getinvolved@westmercia.pnn.police.uk, via Facebook and Twitter @WestMerciaPCC or the PCCÆs website www.westmercia-pcc.gov.uk
I would be grateful if this live chat could be shared on your SNT Twitter feeds etc.
Many thanks
Graham Donaldson, Shropshire Rural and Business Crime Officer.
