Gardens open for NGS

Message from National Gardens Scheme. - Book now to visit Brownhill House Garden on Saturday 26th June.

COMING UP THIS WEEK!
The Secret Gardens at Steventon Terrace:  (pictured below) National Garden Scheme visitors will be familiar with the award-winning "secret garden" at Steventon Terrace in Ludlow, but this year it will be joined by other secret gardens in the terrace of Victorian cottages, making it a real community event.  Make a date now - SATURDAY 19th JUNE (1-5.30) - and see what secrets are in store!  Tickets are available in advance, but it is not essential as visitors can pay on the gate: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/42506

Oriental delights and much more at 2 School Cottages
2 School Cottages:  Hook-A -Gate, nr Shrewsbury (pictured below) Andy and Dru have been busy making changes to the garden since it last opened 2 years ago, so why not come along and see what these inventive gardeners have been up to on Sunday 20th June (12-4.30).  Tickets available in advance, but not essential, or on the gate on the day: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/35310
There will be a raffle at the garden on the day, with prizes kindly provided by B&Q Shrewsbury, with 50% to NGS charities and 50% to Shelter, the homeless charity

3 Haye Court: (pictured below) Eardington, nr Bridgnorth, this well-designed, elegant garden opened for the first time for the National Garden Scheme in May to great acclaim, so Sunday 20th June sees the second chance to see this new garden; Tickets available in advance, but not essential, or on the gate on the day: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/37237

Delbury Hall Walled Garden: One of the National Garden Scheme's popular Shropshire gardens and nursery open for the first time this year on Sunday 20th June.  This early Victorian 2-acre walled garden is a delight to visit on a summer's day alongside the adjoining hall gardens and lake.  Tickets available in advance, but not essential, or on the gate on the day: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/25348

Many of our Shropshire gardens are open for group visits now, so just click on the left to see all the gardens offering group visits, then just contact the owner directly to make your arrangements - all proceeds to NGS charities.

We're sorry to say that the following gardens, which appear in our leaflet and in the Yellow Book, will be unable to open this year:
Stottesdon Village: Sun 27th June
Kingslow Hall, Sun 4th July
Goldstone Hall: Wed 15th Sept
The National Garden Scheme raises money for caring and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson's UK, The Queens Nursing Institute, Horatio's Garden, Maggie's Centres, The Carers' Trust and MIND, the mental health charity.  The National Garden Scheme also supports gardening apprenticeships and community garden schemes
