Hello from us all at Qube...
Did you know the 1st to 7th June is Volunteers Week? Qube currently has over 50 volunteers and they are the very heart of our team. Our volunteers work in a range of roles. They are our Dial-a-Ride drivers, passenger assistants, trustees, befrienders, shoppers, social group helpers, administrative assistants, receptionists, arts assistants, tutors and workshop leaders.
Each year they collectively give thousands of hours of their own time to help those who need it and their work has a life-changing impact on those we work with everyday.
So this month, we just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all our volunteers, past and present. We could not do any of the work we do without you.

There is only one day left to see this fascinating exhibition from Hayward Touring, Southbank Centre. Pop into Qube on Monday 6th June from 9am to 5pm to see a collection of works by French photographer Claude Cahun before they return to their London home. Entires are coming in for this years competition. The theme this year is 'Discovery & Exploration'. A £500 cash prize is awarded to the Best in Show. The People's Choice Prize winner will receive their own 4 week exhibition at Qube next year. Deadline for entries is 1st July. Qube is celebrating its 30th birthday this year! This June we will be holding an exhibition of Qube through the decades. Qube is currently based within the old Queen's Hotel building. Oswestry Charity Market returns to the Bailey Head on 10th June and is an opportunity for local charities and community groups to promote their services and recruit new volunteers. We have a fabulous watercolour workshop coming up with Elise Hendry! Based in Bolton, Elise will be joining us to show you how to create your own watercolour hare picture. We're always keen to hear from anyone looking to sell their work with us. Throughout the year Qube has a small shop selling handmade items, from jewellery, textiles and woodwork to ceramics, cards and prints. Did you know we have scooters and wheelchairs available to hire? They can be hired out for half a day, a full day or longer if needed. Please note, as summer approaches there is high demand for this service. If you would like to hire a scooter or wheelchair please book in advance to avoid disappointment. | | | | |
