Heritage Open Days 2025 Season, September 12th to September 21st. Oswestry & District Events

Attached are details for two of the several events which are taking place in and around Oswestry.

On Saturday September 13th, 'Exploring Oswestry's built heritage', includes talks on the plans to restore Llwyd Mansion and on the work of local architects including Thomas Penson, W.H. Spaull and Edward Bremner-Smith, also looking at examples of other architects' work in Oswestry.  There will also be an opportunity to look at highlights from the Town Council's archives.  The event at the Attfield Theatre in Oswestry Guildhall will run from 10 a.m. to 1p.m.  Pre-booking is required - contact samantha.jones@shropshire.gov.uk to book a place.

Also attached are details of guided tours of Llwyd Mansion to be held on September 17th and 20th, at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 noon, and 2 p.m.  Pre-booking is not required, but numbers on each tour are limited with priority given to those arriving first.

A full list of local events can be found on the Heritage Open Days website at https://www.heritageopendays.org.u
k/whats-on.html.  There is also a leaflet which can be picked up at various locations in the town.
