Rhydycroesau seems to be the beating heart of Folk in the area but I don`t always forward their events as it is a bit far out of our area. Please let me know if you would like to know more about Rhydycroesau events in future.
Sending a reminder for our next gig at Rhydycroesau Village Hall 2 weeks on Wednesday. I get the chance to play with a great friend and amazing musician Teilhard Frost from Canada. Expect lots of old time twin fiddling, some banjos and even stranger instruments. And some singing.
Ticket details below, and don't forget it's cash only on the door.
Hope to see you there!

Teilhard and Jock found a shared love of Appalachian fiddle tunes around a full table, licking plates and dancing in the kitchen. They're both tall, rather polite, love great food and play twin fiddles and occasional banjo, and who knows what else too!
Canadian musician and instrument maker, Teilhard (tay-YAR) Frost specialises in traditional folk music with a focus on Appalachian old time music. He has spent the last twenty years touring with the sensational rag-time outfit Sheesham, Lotus, and 'Son. Other work include The Os project with Jason Mercer (Ani diFranco, Ron Sexsmith), The Complete Recordings of Hezekiah Proctor with L'il Andy, Succeeder with Michael Duguay, Jenny Whiteley, Joey Wright, and miles of studio session work for over 50 albums and film. he currently lives on Wolfe Island in the St. Lawrence River, straddling the border of Canada and the United States. There he makes banjos, his supper and his bed.
Jock Tyldesley has been immersed in playing American fiddle music for the last 35 years and is known as one of Europe's finest Old-Time and Cajun fiddlers, as well as his more off-the-wall antics with The New Rope String Band and The Chipolatas.
He has toured with his regular band The Flatville Acesand with US acts such as Eddie LeJeune, The Dirk Powell Band, Sheryl Cormier, Martha Scanlan, Beverly Smith and Carl Jones and Balfa Toujours.
