Strange men knocking on the door

Last night two young men wearing lots of red over jackets, knocked on our door, even though the curtain was drawn across the door.  They asked if they could talk to me about the Red Cross.  "Send me an email" I said.  OK they replied, without making a note of my email address, and went on their way.

Someone on the  mailing list had a chap knock on the door offering to do handyman jobs.  Given details of a small job, he said he would return the next day - over a week later he has not returned.

I don`t like knockers on the door, and send them packing.

Local film director OFS guest at... ...Our best-ever attendance Oswestry-based film producer and director Gareth Thomas (pictured with OFS's James Bond) was a super guest before last week's absolute sell-out screening of The Outrun. He talked about the trials and tribulations of bringing a film out, his hopes for a national TV release for his locally-filmed Henry House series, his need for extras to appear in his next project, and his work-experience programme for budding youngsters looking to try things out in the film industry. He hopes to be in the audience with us for our screening of Millions this coming Wednesday (Feb 19) - if so, he'll be happy to chat to you informally, but otherwise is contactable via this email: info@rockinghorsemedia.co.uk   Coming up - including a half-term special: We still await an exact date as to when the new community cinema will open, but in the meantime please back us and our supportive friends at the lovely Hermon by coming to our next showings - and if you have some youngsters with you, we can point you to this week's half-term film Millions: Wednesday night screenings - Feb 19: MILLIONS (12A): Inspirational all-ages comedy drama from director Danny Boyle.A young boy finds a cache of stolen loot and wants to use it for good causes.
