Val McKay from the Prescott Surgery, Baschurch has already circulated your list to inform about public events in Shropshire for Parkinson's Awareness Week 2015 (Monday 20th April 2015 - Sunday 26th April 2015) and we are delighted that Val will be in attendance for our Health Awareness Day.

On Saturday 25th April the people of Oswestry will once again have the opportunity to meet with many different health and other professionals who will be available between 10 and 2 at the Memorial Hall.
Representatives will be on hand from such diverse agencies as St John Ambulance, Helping Hand, Chums Befriending Service, Oswestry Library, Hearing Dogs for the Deaf, Parkinsons, the Fire Service, the Association for the Elderly and many more! Nurses from the Minor Injuries Unit, Oswestry, will again be in attendance to take blood pressures, check BMIs and give advice as usual and there will be free tea/coffee and biscuits for all who attend.
This year there will also be a special guest! The delightful cartoon alien Oh from the Easter blockbuster film Home will be present to delight any children present. For any who don't know, in the film Oh, an alien on the run from his own people, lands on Earth and makes friends with the adventurous Tip, who is on a quest of her own. Cue many hilarious adventures and a truly delightful film!
The Odeon Wrexham have kindly donated a life-size figure of Oh which will be raffled off after the Health Awareness & Wellbeing Event – to get a ticket just come along and get a FREE chance to own this great cartoon figure. You, your children or your grandchildren will LOVE it!
