Whittington Beethoven 2017

Here is some advance information to put in your new diary.

Message from Lawrence & Rosie Mortimer, Whittington Beethoven Festival.

Whittington International Chamber Music Festival 2017

Beethoven in the Borders

16-21 May

Plans are now far advanced for our week-long Festival of Beethoven next May, featuring among other world-class artists the celebrated Elias Quartet, fresh from their international Beethoven tour and their subsequent recording of the entire Quartets.

The Festival may still seem quite a long way off, but we are anxious to make sure we have this year's membership of our Friends Scheme as complete as possible before Christmas, and we're asking you now to think about joining. Quite apart from the enormous help members contribute towards the financial viability of the Festival, there are real benefits, the most obvious of which is the reserved seating in the centre block of our lovely venue. But on top of that, you get reduced ticket prices (including the Festival Pass), a free souvenir programme, an invitation to a post-Festival Reception and news updates before everyone else.

We shall be soon sending out a Friends Newsletter with full details of our 2017 programme and the artists taking part, so why not sign up now and be part of it all? The Friends Scheme actually comprises three different membership options (Benefactor, Patron, Friend), ranging from £25 to £250, and you can find full details and application form by clicking here.

If you need reminding what a special Festival we have in Whittington every year, why not have another look at the quarter-hour video of last May's Mozart in the Marches? And the full-length DVD and CD, both available on the Shop page of the website, will make excellent Christmas presents!

We hope to hear from you soon.

 All good wishes

Lawrence and Rosie (Mortimer)
