Another exciting month here at Veloce. 
Everybody loves the charming old film 'Genevieve' and particularly it's starring car of the same name, so launching our new book "A Darracq named Genevieve" at Bonhams Veteran Run Car Sale in the presence of Genevieve was a great occasion packed with veteran car enthusiasts. The next day saw us with a Veloce gazebo in the Veteran car section of The Regent Street Motor Show, where the book's author, Rodney Laredo, was kept very busy signing copies for delighted fans of the film and the car. You might say that this book is Genevieve's auto-biography, and she has had a very eventful life!
This month we've also released full details of "The Ultimate Book of the Air-cooled Porsche 911" a beautiful 592 page, large format edition limited to 911 numbered copies and covering all the cars in the minutest detail. Because of the short print run and the very special nature of the book we are not releasing this book to the trade, instead it is available only from the dedicated website we have created for this Catalogue Raisonné (details below).
This month I'm particularly pleased to have been able to bring back two classics which have been too long out of print. "Triumph TR"  and "Austin-Healey" are pictured below, together with the new, third edition, of our Pontiac Firebird book.

Genevieve book launch
 
Rodney Laredo, the author of A Darracq called Genevieve – The story of veteran motoring's most famous car was at Bonhams Veteran Car Run Auction and The Regent Street Motor Show at the weekend for the launch of his new book. Special thanks to Bonhams for hosting the launch and to the Louwman Museum for the presence of Genevieve at the event. Genevieve is normally on display at the Louwman Museum, The Hague, Netherlands.

NEC Classic Motor Show 2016
 
The Lancaster Insurance Classic Motor Show at The NEC Birmingham takes place this weekend. If you are attending, be sure to visit stand 473, hall 2, where you'll find Honest John and George Fowler signing copies of Car-tastrophes – 80 Automotive Atrocities from the past 20 years (Saturday 12th Nov only).

Golden anniversary of the DFV
 
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the DFV's debut win in 1967, Cosworth will be showing not only a DFV engine but also a number of the cars that it powered in a special display at Historic Motorsport International (HMI) next year.
 
 
A brand new show dedicated to historic motorsport in all its forms, HMI will be held at ExCeL London from 23-26 February 2017 and will be of interest to anyone with an interest in classic racing and rallying.
