| Welcome to What's On at The Willow Gallery & Eatery This Saturday – 5th November – The Willow Gallery opens our new Exhibition. Featuring work from Kay Boyce, Borderland Visual Arts, 'Inspired', Sara John and more, the Arts and Crafts Exhibition has over 100 pieces of work on display. Contents Art and Crafts Exhibition - 5th November to Saturday 14th January Workshops and Courses LIVE at the Willow Gallery Christmas in our Gift Shop Greek Night at the Willow Eatery ARTS & CRAFTS EXHIBITION Saturday 5th November – 14th January Join us this Saturday to view our new exhibition and meet some of the artists exhibiting.  This exhibition features new work by Kay Boyce from her Black on White Collection. Kay would like to introduce you to a new aspect of her work which follows the study and admiration of a beech tree at the foot of her garden. This, together with further inspiration from her love of trees and architecture, rekindled an interest in the medium of pen and ink, not used since her college days. The show features original works and prints.  Borderland Visual Arts group exhibition entitled 'Bijoux' offers you little gems of Artwork from their members. Over 30 members of the BVA have risen to the challenge and produced work for this themed exhibition where size is restricted. 2D work has to be less than 13' and 3D work must fit into a 6' cube. A wide range of disciplines are on offer: prints, mixed media, acrylic, glass, wood, jewellery, bronze and stone. Something for everyone! Complimenting these works we also have textiles from the group 'Inspired', portraiture from new exhibitor Daniel Yeoman and a selection of bold Welsh landscape paintings from artist Sara John. This Exhibition is the perfect excuse to escape the cold and come and have a look around. WORKSHOPS & COURSES All our workshops and courses are held in the Dunbabin Room here at the Gallery.The small groups are relaxed and friendly and open to all levels from beginners to those just wanting to brush up a little.Full details and booking forms are on our website, or you can phone us or call in. Landscape in Batik on Fabric with Jenny O'Leary Saturday 5th November 10am – 4pm. £40 including materials There are just a few places left on Jenny's course this Saturday. Jenny provides all the materials and will introduce you to this wonderful creative medium where you will create your own batik using the landscape as your inspiration. Portrait Painting in Oil with Darren Fraser 2 sessions; Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th November 10am – 4pm £80 Darren will help you build your confidence by approaching the subject of portraiture on a larger scale over this two day course. Bring along a good image to work from that offers interesting angles, colour and contrast. You will need to bring your own oil paints and brushes. Colourful Townscapes with Leo Donaghy Starts Tuesday 22nd November 9.30am – 1pm 4 sessions in total – 22nd/29th November and 6th/13th December £85 Learn how to draw quick studies of y our local village or town and then turn them into exciting paintings. Leo has a simple method to help you with perspective and this promises to help conquer all previously held fears. Felting Woodland Scenes with Susan Mulcock. Saturday 3rd December - FULLY BOOKED Dream Catcher Workshop with Orlanna Saturday 17th December 11.00 – 12.30 – Adults and Children welcome. £8 An opportunity to be creative and make a personal Christmas gift. All materials provided. LIVE @ the Willow Gregory S Davies & Sarah Smout Saturday December 17th 8.00pm. Tickets £8 This new duo features local artist Gregory who brings a deep, resonant voice to his story telling songs, and Sarah who is a highly talented cellist and also a singer songwriter. Come along and enjoy this evening which also promises a festive surprise… Food will be available from the Willow Eatery – bookings required (01691 657575), the bar will be available during the evening.
