I have recently had a contribution from someone about his experiences of
National Service which will make an entertaining article for the History
Blog.
Do you have someone in your family who went through National Service?
Or, grew up during the war, regardless of where they lived at the time,
this would make fascinating reading.
Oral history is a vital part of our understanding of the past,
especially of our own family.
You could record your relative`s memories and then type them up - I am
always happy to edit grammar and spelling. Tell Grandma or Grandad
they are doing this for their children, grandchildren and great
grandchildren.
