David Bannister
With a prolific output overflowing into the disciplines of landscape, abstract painting and drawing, David also has a particular knack for unconventional portraits that explore the underlying character of the sitter. He also practices and teaches Tai Chi.

Christy Davies
Christy designs and makes soft furnishings, employing techniques such as macramé and crochet, and using different foraged natural dyes. She is happy to discuss large-scale macramé commissions.

Leo Donaghy
Leo mixes traditional paint with other media. Inspired by the wonder and beauty of the natural world, he works in a variety of styles to create paintings, drawings, murals and screens. He encourages his students to experiment and be adventurous.

Peter Monaghan
With a background in technical illustration, Peter enjoys collaging everyday objects into his paintings. In his workshops he encourages students to try out fresh ideas for themselves and develop their own creative voice.

Susan Mulcock
Taking felting to an unbelievable level, Susan's landscapes - woodlands, waterfalls, coastal scenes, wild moors and mountains - are wonderful to behold. Her workshops always fill quickly, and we advise booking early.

Jenny O'Leary
Jenny works mostly with batik and appliqué, and is inspired by the pattern and surface qualities of natural forms, by architectural structures and by Eastern decorative art. She is a well-organised, supportive and friendly tutor.

Lesley Palmer
Lesley specialises in watercolours and is a lifelong animal lover: horses and wildlife particularly inspire her exuberant and colourful work. Beginners to more experienced artists will find Lesley's techniques and methods very useful.

Ian Phillips
Known internationally for his distinctive style, Ian has been working with lino for over 20 years, catching the subtleties of weather and the natural drama of landscape. A popular workshop tutor, Ian never wastes a minute and keeps everyone on their toes.

Myfanwy Powell
Myfanwy has painted from an early age. She specialises in animal subjects, and is a member of the Society of Equestrian Artists. She has been painting professionally while studying for her Masters degree, and is available for commissions.

Tereska Shepherd
Tereska specialises in botanical subjects, providing a contemporary take on an age-old subject. She is passionate about using her art to raise awareness about conservation issues - and teaching has always gone hand-in-hand with her own exquisite creative work.

Suzette Smart
Finding inspiration in all sorts of places, including the landscape around her, Suzette creates fantastic stitched textile surfaces combining fabric collage with intricate machine embroidery to produce vibrant and sumptuous effects.

Sara Wood
With a background in architectural glass, Sara now works largely in clay and is best-known for her dainty, one-of-a-kind birds in natural materials, She also offers personalised workshops in your own home for friends or family.

Volunteers contribute in many ways to the smooth running of the gallery, not least volunteer finance officer/bookkeeper Mike Willis. Long-serving Mike is usually with us one day a week to ensure all financial matters - sales, purchases, receipts and payments - are dealt with in an organised and timely manner. Additional duties include card and bank reconciliations, cash flows and monthly reporting on the gallery's financial performance.† He's also our minute taker (as well as active participant) at team meetings.
Michael in cake heaven!
Says Mike: 'We're a diverse group of individuals, of all ages and from all experience levels. We all feel that we are appreciated, and it's very satisfying to be part of something so worthwhile.'

A retired GP, Mike also writes and arranges choral music, and has recently launched a range of cards featuring nursery rhyme illustrations painted by his grandfather back in the 1940s. The full set of cards can be seen and purchased from www.lovefromtheartist.com/Artists/oswestry/mike-willis (https://willowartgallery.us7.list-manage.com/track/click?u=71eae61552062c89a78e57454&id=75b67c5915&e=fc60fd651d) . A smaller selection can be purchased at the gallery.
† A not-for-profit community-interest company, the gallery does however need to keep in the black - with any surpluses used to promote and deliver the arts.

Our not-for-profit art space supports established and emerging artists (particularly local talent) from all disciplines. As well as regularly-changing exhibitions, we run artist-led workshops and courses, and host a programme of events, including live music, craft fairs, special exhibits, craft demonstrations and talks. Our artists-in-residence enjoy engaging with the public and are keen to share their knowledge and passion. There is also a café and a shop.
