| Generous funding made to support the 'Qube Friends' Project Qube has been awarded crucial funding from The National Lottery Community Fund to support their 'Qube Friends' project. The project will support those in the community who are lonely and isolated by hosting additional social groups and activities. Plus, it will also support those who lack the confidence to attend activities, are housebound, or have conditions that affect their ability to socialise and meet within a safe space e.g. dementia sufferers and their carers by kickstarting a befriending programme. Cancer Champions boost resources with the addition of multi-lingual videos The Cancer Champions team has been working on some fantastic resources to increase awareness about the importance of cancer screening and improve uptake in the area. They have produced a series of multi-lingual videos in Mandarin, Punjabi, Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Polish. The videos focus on breast, bowel and cervical cancer, as well as a general video to highlight the signs and symptoms of cancer. They are available to download and view by visiting the Cancer Champions website. |

We're on the lookout for some more volunteers to join our already fabulous bunch to enable us to grow our Dial-a-Ride and Social Group offerings. If you'd like to join our volunteer team, please get in touch for more details. |

Our eclectic display of Michele Coxon's work Michele Coxon has taken over our gallery space this month with her vast array of artwork. The collection ranges from textile quilts, papier-mâché animal heads, a life-size horse sculpture, and a display of her gorgeous children's illustrations to mention just a few pieces. If you haven't already been in, come and take a look.

We're running a book swap! Don't miss out on a chance to revamp your book collections at our book swap on the 27th May 2023. You can bring any of your unwanted books and swap them for some new ones. Even if you don't have any books to bring, come along to grab a stash, all we ask is for a kind donation of £2 and you can take away whichever books you wish. We look forward to seeing you there! |
