Whiuttington Music Festival news

Dear Blogger,

WHITTINGTON MUSIC FESTIVAL News update

Not long now!

Hear Roddy Williams sing in person on May 20th.

Roddy was in Shrewsbury on April 14th. Here's what an audience member thought of that concert:
'I don't speak German, although I know a few random words from singing choral works, but I was fully absorbed in Roddy Williams' recent concert in St Chad's, Shrewsbury. His artistry and his ability to communicate is such that his all-German programme was moving and compelling.
Roddy said, between songs, that much as he loves German song and continues to find new meanings in the poetry, he prefers singing in English as it removes an important barrier to communication, and for that reason he's looking forward to singing an all-English programme at Whittington.
Having now heard Roddy sing live, I realise that the recordings I have heard didn't do justice to his mastery, and I can't wait to hear more'.

There are only a few online tickets remaining for the final concert on Sunday May 21 and paper tickets for all concerts will only be on sale until Monday May 15, so don't delay!
