October Half Term Be inspired by the bats, cats and rats that feature in the story of Shrewsbury Flaxmill Maltings. Join us for free kids' Halloween activities Monday to Friday during October half term. Participate in free bats, cats and rats themed craft sessions at the world's first iron-framed structure – the grandparent of the modern skyscrapers. Kids go free into The Mill Exhibition this during October half term! Enjoy a free activity trail around the site where you can learn more about this important site, the grandparent of the modern skyscrapers, and participate in interactives, other hands-on activities, and dress up as a mill worker from the past. |

Flaxmill Friday As part of its ongoing series of late night events, Flaxmill Friday presents: Michaela Wylde. Singer, pianist and songwriter, Michaela has been inspired by the likes of Amy Winehouse, Imelda May, Newton Faulkner and classic jazz. Michaela will be performing live in Turned Wood Café from 7pm to 9pm. Turned Wood Café will be open from 5pm serving a special evening menu of vegetarian & plant-based hot food, small plates and full drinks menu including alcoholic beverages. This is a free event - there is no need to book tickets in advance. |
