Dear Blogger
Irena and I have been busy this autumn and, I am pleased to say, I have been able to upload her 3 articles on Ruyton XI Towns War Memorial in time for tomorrow, 2024 Remembrance Sunday.

Do please read how important our memorial was after 20 men from the village had been lost in the first world war, surely everyone must have known several on the list.
Also remember another 4 men lost in World War II - two from the same family.
Irena and her late husband Les White, worked tirelessly over several years to get the new plaque installed to record three missing lads whose names were not recorded on the original memorial. It has now been installed in time for 2024 Remembrance Sunday.
You can read more about the War Memorial in previous articles on the history website.
