Comedy hit of the year on screen this week Share your big news. | | Hundreds of Beavers (12A): A must-see comedic gem, this creative and entertaining smash hit of 2024 knocked a lot of big-budget productions aside, receiving rave reviews as its popularity initially spread like wildfire through word of mouth. In a mixture of silent movie, slapstick, live action and animation, a drunken man is stranded in a surreal winter forest, and against a backdrop of sinister creatures (beavers, played by actors in full-sized mascot costumes) he develops increasingly complex ways to knock them off to win the hand of a mischievous lover. Bizarre, but a hoot! You might not have heard of it, but you'll love it. This Wed, Nov 27, Hermon Chapel, 7.30pm.
