We heard some sad news today,
Ray Schaeffer died in the hospice on 1st December, he had been on dialysis for a long time.
There will be a celebration of his life at Emstrey Crematorium on Thursday 9th January at 1.15pm, please wear a splash of colour, donations for Severn Hospice and Shropshire Kidney Patients Association
For those who are new to the village, Ray and Margaret ran the Top Shop (where our son Hugo lives now) in the 80s and 90s and Ray was a regular, with us, at the Blessed Bridge Inn. Ray worked with Roger and Adrian Thorne at RAPRA in Shawbury.
Margaret was a pillar of Ruyton WI until her death from cancer, when the shop was closed.
Please pass this news onto anyone you know who remembers Ray but might not be on the Ruyton mailing list.
