Come and explore the beautiful countryside, improve your fitness and make new friends! You don't have to be a member, you're welcome to try us out (but we do ask that you join once you've been out with us 3 times). We're a friendly group and we like to chat as we go along. Here's where we're off to in the next couple of weeks:

Our 7-mile moderate walk starts in the small village of Ysbyty Ifan in the Upper Conwy Valley. The first part of the route follows one of the main north Wales drovers’ routes through the hills, crossing the rivers Eidda and Rhyd yr Halen. Then we are out on the open moorland where we should have 360-degree views of the mountains, as well as plenty of skylarks and possibly curlew. After visiting the viewpoint of Bryn-llech, we will head down across moorland and fields to Cwm Eidda and then along quiet lanes and paths back to Ysbyty Ifan. There is quite a steep climb out of the village on tarmac and a stony path for the first km. The moorland, which has little shelter, has some boggy and wet sections so waterproof boots and sticks recommended. Much of the walk is within the National Trust’s large Ysbyty Ifan estate. There should be good views over the moors, down the Conwy valley and across to Snowdon, Moel Siabod and the Carneddau mountains. Please bring supplies for coffee and lunch stops. About 1150m total ascent. For full details see https://www.ramblers.org.uk/go-walking/group-walks/ysbyty-ifan-and-cwm-eidda
