The Boot Sale this morning (Sunday 25th November) was a great success, considering it was the first one, and was advertised at short notice. But we sold a phone, some headphones, some jewellery and there was HUGE interest in our Android Smart TV Sticks and Tablets and SmartPhones (though one or two young visitors just enjoyed Ice Age 3 - the demo film). Many thanks to all who dropped in. The tea and coffee was very welcome - although sunny it was FREEZING - no-one wanted Squash!
We offer a wide selection of watches, Fossil Rings and other bits and pieces (including some clothes)
It will also be demonstrating a variety of Android Devices, including Tablets and "Smart TV" Sticks (a tiny Android computer that uses your HD TV as its Display)
The Internet Connection at the Memorial Hall is sadly "poor-to-non-existant" so demonstrating Live Movies via Crackle or TVCatchup will be a challenge - but you will be able to get the idea.
These devices will not be for sale on the day, but I can take orders - I import from reliable (and legal!) sources in China. Delivery is normally less than 10 days (DHL) so still time for Christmas. I can offer accessories - cases, mini-keyboards, "pens" etc. If you are not sure what this is all about, ask your children. And even "quiet" violins - electric, used with headphones - or big amplifiers!
I hope to repeat this regularly, on each Sunday up to Christmas, and if remotely successful, into next year on a fortnightly basis.
Other potential "sellers" are welcome to give me a call to join in and share the very modest Room Hire, but they should not be selling products that compete with existing Village Outlets.
Oh, and my tax is paid in UK - not the Cayman Isles!
