DEFIBRILLATORS
Thanks to the people who attended the defibrillator training last night and in April, there are now 17 local volunteers who may in the future save your life or someone you know and love.
Look out for the places where they are kept; the logo above is all over the place, showing the wide distribution of this vital equipment. They are often outside public buildings and in many supermarkets (but not Sainsbury's!)
We hope to run another course soon and already some of the places are taken. The date of the next course has not yet been set.
If you are interested in obtaining this very important skill, please contact Avril Sanders Royle on 01939 261262 or by e-mail on sanders_royle@btinternet.com. She will need contact numbers, e-mail and postal addresses as well as your Date of Birth so that a DBS (formerly CRB) can be done so that we know that all volunteers are not a danger to others.
This training is free and paid for by the Parish Council. We are also grateful to St John the Baptist CE Primary School, who provide both the venue for our courses as well as looking after the defibrillator which is on the exterior of the school.
