Baschurch it getting broadband at last

Following the questions raised at the Local Joint Committee Meeting last Thursday, I have been advised by BT/OpenReach that the final stages of the required Engineering works to bring Infinity to homes in Baschurch is due to start this week. Orders can be taken a week or two after the work is completed, and I have asked BT to let me know when that will be.
As my previous notes on this topic, this scope of work will cover the homes that are reasonably easy to reach by fibre from the Fibre Exchange just North of Byways. This will hopefully cover around 80% of homes in the Baschurch Exchange Area - but will not include homes on the North East side of the railway, or the smaller hamlets. But still a huge proportion.
I'll keep you posted as I know more.

In Ruyton XI Towns, another "rack" of Fibre Modems has been fitted to the Cabinet near the Victoria Room, so if your web-check showed that Infinity was not available, it might be worth checking again - www.bt.com/infinity

I note that Orange are now offering Infinity-speeds in Ruyton XI Towns using the BT fibre infrastructure, giving another option of superfast ISP (PlusNet already offers Fibre - as well as BT of course)
