Following last year's stunning production of Mozart's masterpiece Don Giovanni, Mid Wales Opera returns in 2013 to celebrate the centenary of one of the country's greatest composers - Benjamin Britten. It is time for the sleepy village of Loxford to choose a May Queen but none of the local girls quite fit the bill…

Benjamin Britten Mini-break at Gregynog Hall
Enjoy a few days in the beautiful environment of Gregynog Hall, discovering the operas of one of the country's greatest composers - Benjamin Britten - in this celebratory year marking the centenary of his birth.
Mid Wales Opera and Nicholas Cleobury bring a stellar line-up of speakers, singers and musicians - including Paul Kildea, conductor and author of a new biography of Britten - to explore some of his extraordinary characters and the wonderful music that portrays them.
The highly reasonable rate of £195 includes two nights accommodation, all meals and a ticket to the premiere of Albert Herring at Theatr Hafren on 5 September.
