Live @ The Willow Music Events
The Willow Gallery will be launching its season of Live Music Events with a musical extravaganza on the weekend of the 14th of March. Beginning on Friday the 14th with an informal Acoustic Music Session in the main gallery from 6pm to 8pm, open to all musicians to pop along and make some music! This will be followed by a special St. Patricks day ceilidh at 8pm with the fantastic Devil’s Chair Ceilidh Band. On Saturday the 15th their will be another opportunity to put on your dancing shoes with a 1950s Dance Workshop from 10am to 12pm with Niall Evans. On Monday the 17th The gallery will be hosting a special Oswestry LitFest Event with live music from the Bookshop Band who were a sell-out success at last year’s festival. The gallery is also excited to announce that ‘Master of the Acoustic Guitar’ (Maverick Magazine) Chris Quinn will be performing at the Willow on Saturday the 10th of May and Renowned InterCeltic group Jamie Smith’s Mabon will be performing on Friday the 13th of June.

Saturday the 22nd of March. 4.30pm to 6pm
Professional musicians and writers Eddie and Jenny Miller will give an insight into their song writing techniques, inspiration and how they evoke the feeling of a song through the accompanying music. The work of some of the great song writers will be discussed. Throughout this informal session there will be the opportunity to explore techniques for song writing and to create your own lyrics. No musical knowledge or experience required, just enthusiasm! All welcome.

For the Chris Quinn & Mabon performances The Willow Eatery will be offering a delicious selection of home cooked meals, desserts and light bites from 6pm to 8pm, in the Eatery. Alcoholic beverages, hot drinks and soft drinks will also be served throughout the evening. Tables for these evenings will be limited and on a first come first served basis, therefore bookings and pre-orders for food are required.
Drinks and nibbles will also be served in the Eatery for The Bookshop Band on Monday the 17th of March
