Good news for those who walk on the Cliffe

Message from Joanna Gears, Little Ness.

Hi All
>>
>> This week has seen the APPROVAL of a Planning Application regarding the change of use to a Waste Transfer Station at Startlewood Farm, Hopton. This will have an impact on all walkers and riders who use the Cliffe Country Park.
>>
>> This news was relayed to Parish Councillors this week after the Parish Councils of Great Ness and Ruyton XI Towns had both requested that Shropshire Council REJECT the application. Almost as surprised as the local residents were the Parish Councillors many of whom are now questioning the merits of being a councillor if their views are not respected by the planning officers within Shropshire Council.
>>
>> You are invited by the Local residents and Parish Councillors to PROTEST at the deficiency in the current planning process which has allowed this to happen. We will be joined by the Shropshire star to record our feelings.
>>
>> The 'Meet' is scheduled for Friday the 7th February at 3.45 in the Cliffe Viewpoint Carpark. We will then walk to the top of the Cliffe where we will be photographed.
>>
>> Please note that this is weather reliant . We will check with the Shropshire Star on Friday morning to see if the conditions permit. We will send a further email on Friday morning if the situation changes.

> Please also let any contacts you have  also know of this initiative so they also have the option to join us.

Valeswood and Little Ness Residents.
