Archaeology dig - have a go!

Message from Luke Neal, Meres & Mosses Community Officer.

On Monday the 2nd June until Friday 14th June there will be an archaeological dig taking place between Colemere and Ellesmere.

The site is a circular enclosure of possible Iron age.

There is the option of joining the archaeologists on this dig if you are interested.

You would need to commit at least 2 days, be over 18 and reasonably fit.

If you would like to get involved please get in touch with Hugh Hannaford, county archaeologist: hugh.hannaford@shropshire.gov.uk

Do not reply to me as I am off on my holidays and will not be able to help!!

 Kind regards all,

Luke Neal, Community Officer, Meres and Mosses Landscape Partnership Scheme
