We would like to say a big thank you to all those who came to the Qube Open Prize Giving on Friday night. It was great to see so many of the exhibiting artists and supporters there and we hope you enjoyed the evening as much as we did.There have already been some really nice comments from gallery visitors about all the works on show.

For those who couldn't make it, the three pieces that were runners up and who the judges wanted to give a special mention to were:

'Niqab, Abaya, Hijab, hung out to dry' by Richard Mountford

'Murphy Street' by Helen Joan Owen

'Carbon Content' by Jessica Lloyd-Jones 

Congratulations to the winner of the Best in Show prize this year, who is Darren Fraser for his piece 'Day Job'.

Don't forget: Voting for the People's Choice prize will take place throughout the exhibition so please come and vote for your favourite piece. The winning artist will win their own exhibition in 2016.

Rocking Horse Studios very kindly filmed the event and took photos. These will now be edited and available to view on the Qube website in a couple of weeks.
