Can you give some hens a happy home?

Message forwarded by Sue & Steve Boulding, Baschurch.

The hens have to be booked (people can't just turn up on the off-chance) and the BHWT do like a donation for each hen - it was £5 each when we got our most recent ones, which is very reasonable considering the eggs they lay. They go on laying for quite a lengthy time.

But best of all is that you can give a new life to the hens after they've been living their lives in barnes.

Thanks

Sue

Subject: Can you give some hens a happy home?

Dear hen re-homer,

We have a re-homing day on Sunday 30th July from our Overton, Shropshire collection site.

Some of these lucky hens already have homes booked, but we would like to see every hen have a lovely home to go to – can you help please?

They have lived in barns and would love the chance to enjoy a free range retirement.  If you can also spread the word with friends we would be very grateful. We still have over 100 hens without homes to go to.

If you have already booked hens or replied to a previous email, please disregard this appeal.

To reserve hens please telephone Hen Central on 01884 860084 or email thomas.whitton@bhwt.co.uk

Kind regards
