Please read this brochure for the Oswestry Wilfred Owen Festival. Our local town is putting on a really great tribute to the First World War poet born in Oswestry. All the events are listed from 15th September to November 17th.
I can highly recommend LADS` production of `The Forester`s House`, about Wilfred Owen`s last night before his death on 14th November 1918.
Also the lunchtime lectures on `Three Poet`s at Oswestry Library by Ruyton XI Towns author, Wendy Lowden.
Be proud of Oswestry - there is always so much going on.
Shrewsbury Museum is putting on an exhibition about Wilfred Owen with details of a walk round the town to places he would have known when he was growing up there.
