Come & help celebrate our 10th birthday with a range of fun events for kids this October at Booka! This Saturday 5th October we're thrilled to be celebrating 10 years of bookselling! We couldn't do it without you, our amazing customers. So to say thanks for your continued support, we've planned a programme of exciting events for children & adults throughout the month of October... Join us at 11am this Saturday 5th October when a VERY special visitor will be helping us open our newly refurbished children's area! Peppa Pig will be here in the bookshop to open this magical new space for you to enjoy; our Theatre of Books. No need to book, just turn up and join the fun! On Sunday 13th October, you, our brilliant young readers are invited to an exciting birthday crafternoon. We will have a party hat decoration station, a giant number 10 to make, activity sheets, party games, including a character treasure hunt, prizes and special offers galore! Friday 11th October 11am Upstairs at Booka Elmer's Birthday Sue will be sharing the story of one of our best-loved characters' birthdays to get us all in the party mood! Come and enjoy this free parent & toddler drop-in as we celebrate the timeless magic of Elmer and friends, as well as our own Bookshop Birthday! 10% off all Elmer books on the day. CanÆt wait to see you there! Sunday 27th October 1.30 - 2.30pm Pumpkin Party! Join us for a special Halloween Party to get half term off to a spooky start! Christopher Pumpkin doesn't want to be scary. He's more into bunting and fairy cakes than cobwebs and slugs. Join us Upstairs at Booka for this hilarious story, then dive into some special Pumpkin Crafts just in time for Halloween! And join us for a Halloween photo extravaganza. Work as a team to create a spooktacular tableaux with props, costumes and materials. Let your imagination take you on an adventure in this Halloween themed photo workshop, inspired by the fantastic Photo Adventures from Thames & Hudson. Halloween dress up optional!
