Ruthall Manor: open on Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th September


Ruthall Manor, Ditton Priors, nr Bridgnorth. This ever-popular garden has magnificent trees and shrubs at their autumn best to enjoy: quiet & peaceful garden with plenty of space for visitors.
Picnics welcome in the parking field.  Refreshments available in the cafe and pub in Ditton Priors.

Oteley: open on Sunday 20th September

Oteley, Ellesmere: This magnificent estate, with its forest trees and unique view across the Mere, is popular with NGS visitors every year.  Usually open in May, the September view of the landscape at Oteley will give visitors a different perspective.  Refreshments will be available, as will produce from the estate farm shop, there will even be a group of outdoor singers to add to the atmosphere so don't miss a visit to this unique place - one of the original gardens in Shropshire to open for the National Garden Scheme when it started in 1927!

The National Garden Scheme raises money for caring and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospice UK, Parkinson's UK, The Queens Nursing Institute, Horatio's Garden, Maggie's Centres, The Carers' Trust and MIND, the mental health charity.  The National Garden Scheme also supports gardening apprenticeships and community garden schemes
