Dear Blogger
Message from Patient Access, on behalf of our GP Services.
Following the Government announcement on Saturday, the UK is now facing a second lockdown starting this Thursday. While Scotland is set to continue with its 5-tier system and Wales is still due to come out of its 'circuit breaker' lockdown on Monday 9th November, residents in England now face a new set of rules which will remain in place until December 2nd.
A rise in cases across the country has led to these new restrictions but we can all still do our bit, not only to protect ourselves, but also others around us. The importance of social distancing and regular hand washing still remain top priorities. It's also important to use face coverings when using public transport (for example, commuting to work) or when shopping for essentials.
The NHS however, does remain open – so it's vital that if you require a doctor, or have treatment arranged, you must still attend any booked appointments unless directed otherwise by your medical professional.

Face coverings are now mandatory in enclosed spaces in the UK, but when it comes to protecting others and ourselves, what should we look for in a homemade mask?
Advice for flu treatment is, and has always been, simply 'fluids and bed rest' - little wonder some of us turn to family recipes or alternative medicine to get creative with our approach.
