Message from David Shearan, Parish Councillor. For those of us who have never heard of the QEII field, it is The Bridge Field. Can someone enlighten me as to why and when it got the name of an ocean liner?
Would you like to help by planting some trees? It will be a gift to our environment and one that keeps on growing. We need a small team of people to plant around 100 native trees in the QEII field near Platt Bridge. This will take place on Tuesday 5th January starting at 10:30am. If you are interested and free then please reply and turn up on the day with a spade. We will carefully manage the day to make sure we comply with the coronavirus guidance that applies, and that everyone has the opportunity to plant some trees. David
