Important message from Patient Access

Dear Blogger

Message from  Dr Sarah Jarvis MBE, Clinical Director at Patient Access

The whole of the UK is facing new measures to tackle the rapidly increasing numbers of COVID-19 infections and deaths and the growing pressure on the NHS.

While specific restrictions vary between the nations of the UK, the principles are similar. All their governments are encouraging people to stay at home as much as possible and only to leave their homes in limited circumstances. It's important that we all follow these new restrictions to reduce the spread of COVID-19 as the vaccine programme gets underway.

Even though the NHS is busy, you should still seek medical treatment if you need it. If you think you may be experiencing a heart attack, stroke or other medical emergency, it is critical that you seek urgent care. And if you have any symptoms which you are concerned about, especially lumps and bumps or other symptoms of cancer, please book a GP appointment and continue to seek care as normal.
