Whittington Music Festival

Message from

WHITTINGTON MUSIC FESTIVAL

Exciting prospect!

At a recent meeting, the trustees were unanimous about two things: firstly, that we really want there to be a festival in 2024, and secondly, that this won't be possible with the existing resources of (wo)manpower and income. Your magnificent response to our appeal for funds has been the salvation of this year's festival, and immensely affirming of what we are trying to do and the work that has gone into getting this far.

It is likely that grants and donations will continue to make up the bulk of our income as business sponsors and major patrons of the Arts are in short supply in this area.
Join us

To have even a chance of success we need three vigorous and enthusiastic people to join our team; one to take responsibility for writing grant applications, another to share in organising publicity and a third to take over as Treasurer. This vital role does not require accountancy training but experience of managing the budget of a small business is necessary. Our annual turnover is around £45K. Please let me know by email rob@whittingtonmusicfestival.org.uk if you, or anyone you know of, can help, or if you would like more information.

Volunteer drivers needed

We still don't have enough drivers to ferry the musicians between Whittington, Oswestry and Bronygarth. If you are able to help, and would welcome the chance to chat to our musicians while doing so, please contact info@whittingtonmusicfestival.org.uk.
