Dear Blogger
A great idea to record our local village oral histories
Message forwarded by Pam Johnson of LADS.
The Oswestry Cultural Connections group is organising an oral history Story Shop Project and is looking for volunteers.
There are 5 places left for volunteers who are interested in being trained to capturing oral history.
The training is scheduled to take place on Monday 8th April at the Guildhall by Julia Letts.
This is free training and participants will learn about the practice of oral history, gain skills in oral history capture and transcribing, and will get a certificate from the Oral History Society after the training day. Free travel and refreshments.
The volunteer information document for the project is attached
Anyone over 18 can be involved and this might be good experience for young folk to add to their CV
