My thoughts tonight, and I hope, others in the village, are with the Royal Family after today`s announcement by Kate, the Princess of Wales, that she will be receiving treatment for cancer. Just as all of us, if we were in that situation, would want to be given space until the situation improves, if only the media could understand the Princess`s request.

Details confirmed about Queen's visit to Shrewsbury
The Queen will meet with various local dignitaries during her visit to Shrewsbury next week.
Details have been confirmed regarding the visit of Her Majesty the Queen to Shrewsbury on Wednesday, March 27.
During her visit, Queen Camilla will be welcomed to the county town by the Shrewsbury Brass Band and introduced to several local dignitaries.
Organisers of the town's farmer's market, Stuart and Jenny Jones, will showcase the monthly event in The Square and introduce Her Majesty to a number of local artisan businesses.
