The Memorial Hall history - can you help?

Dear Blogger

I am writing an article about the Memorial Hall for my history website  https://www.eleventowns.uk/history.html  and am looking for any information, and or memories, people might have about the years since it was given by Mr. W.H. Gittins of Hall Farm and opened in 1936.

Some snippets appeared on facebook Ruyton Revisited but sadly, no additional background information was included.  It must be remembered many people, both now and particularly in the future, will not know anything about the people mentioned and the activities they were engaged in.

Fred Jones, founder of Jones Brothers, Weston Rhyn, was bricklayer and laid the date stone on the front of the building.

In 1961 Maureen Penton`s parents had their wedding reception in the Memorial Hall.

In 1960s, there was a Church Youth Group.

In 1980s the Mothers and Toddlers met there.

In the 1980s & 90s Florence Hughes held a regular Charity Bingo and the  Old Ruytonions met weekly

2000s the hall was used as a changing room for the Football club. On one occasion the whole team were locked in the hall.

I would love to know more abut these snippets before I add them to the article.
